Bowie, Freddie, Prince, Rihanna, Gaga, Harry Styles - no matter the time period, the music industry continues to produce fashion icon after fashion icon. Thankfully, the Grammys brings them all together in one place with one strict rule: there are no rules.

In a wonderful world where Lizzo and Billie Eilish are leading the way in terms of nominations, it's to be expected that the red carpet would bring FIRE.

From the good and the bad to the downright weird, we've rounded up our most iconic moments...

Lizzo can do no wrong, ever. Eight nominations and three wins isn't bad going, especially when her white strapless Atelier Versace dress and faux fur stole is a complete win in itself.

Ariana blessed us last night with not one, not two, but THREE ball gowns. The show stopper (in our eyes) is her grey Giambattista Valli red carpet number, with velvet gloves to match.

It's super refreshing to see a cute mini dress in the midst of suits and gowns. Gwen's Dolce and Gabbana dress was embellished to the gods, and can we take a moment to appreciate the Le Silla boots? This look is b-a-n-a-n-a-s.

Tyler, the Creator always brings the A game to the Grammys. Each year, we patiently wait for what he's going to bring us, with this year surpassing all expectations. A custom Golf Le Fleur pink bellhop look with a suitcase - it was so Wes Anderson in the best possible way.

A complete 90s dream, we fell head over heels for Dua's look last night. Her Vivienne Westwood silky two piece and retro hairstyle screamed supermodel and schoolgirl in the best way. Now we're all scrabbling to find our bright blue eyeshadow..

We apologise that Billy Porter is a recurring theme on our favourite looks, but how could we not? The hat was literally motorised and literally parted for a face reveal we never knew we needed until now. Blocking out the haters just got very real.

Dark green and black is a top-tier combo - Billie Eilish will vouch for that. From the shades and hoops to the silky blouse paired with it, this co-ord answered all of our prayers.

We will forever love Chrissy Teigen for her twitter trolling, her super cute kids and now this Yanina Couture dress. She took the power shoulder trend to new heights and boy did it pay off.

Known for mixing streetwear with a Western twist, Lil Nas X and his custom Versace ensemble did not disappoint. The hat, the harness, the boots, the colour - we just can't choose what we love most.

Billie looked directly in the eyes of whoever said logomania was dead and proceeded to put on her head-to-toe Gucci look. We've come to expect green and black from Billie, yet she still manages to surprise us.
