August bank holiday is pending and this means one thing and one thing only - NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL!
If you have no clue what to wear, you need a little bit of celeb inspo, you want the 411 about how the day goes down, or if you love the carnival so much that you just wanna read another blog post about it - we’ve got your back! You can thank us later.
Seriously though, the pressure to pull a banging outfit out of the bag is so real, especially if you’re one of the many flocking to Ladbroke Grove for the entire weekend. But fear not, we’ve got you covered with co-ords and dresses - the LOT.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that NHC celebrates Caribbean heritage with reggae music and street food galore. But remember: cultural appreciation, never appropriation.
Jourdan Dunn killed it in 2017 with a knitted green co-ord. She brought it again last year with tinted aviators that matched her gold chiffon two piece like a dream. So. Regal.

Ella Eyre also had her look down to a T, interchanging pineapple and cherry bralette’s with matching joggers and sunglasses.

Maya Jama channelled her inner Kim Possible in 2017 with a netted red crop and cargo pants.
And if it’s due to be a washout, a waterproof mac will be your ultimate ride or die.
Here's what to expect across the weekend. This year, Red Bull Sound System will be taking over the Horniman's stage with a killer line up not to be missed. Both Yxng Bane and Sneakbo will be headlining and joined by the likes of Alicai Harley and 1Xtra's DJ Tiffany Calver. Then you have the Powis Square Stage and if you are heading that way we suggest you check out The Disco Hustlers Sound System for some funk and disco beats. You will not be disappointed!
For those of you who just don't want the party to stop we've rounded up a few of our top after parties to head to so you can dance on into the night. Supa Dupa Fly will be over in East at Trapeze for their Carvinal Special, Prince of Peckham will be playing host to Oneman so be sure to head here for some grime and UK house. Oh, and tickets are only £5! Rinse FM will be based in Paradise for their official Carnival After Party on the 26th until 1am.
